Each pendant is handmade from natural Arkansas stone featuring a double braided deer leather chord sealed with bees wax to help protect against the elements. Durable and lightweight, wear it all day when out adventuring or keep it handy in your bug out bag.

Our whetstone pendants are built to last, but like with all things in life they can be ruined by improper use and mishandling.

Arkansas stone or Novaculite is a microcrystalline stone meaning it is made of tiny crystals. While it is a very strong dense and hard stone, misuse such as hammering or striking the stone or using the stone in any other way than its intended can cause micro fractures or the stone to crack.

Though the leather chord can withstand the elements and rugged situations do not put excessive weight or stress on the chord or it can break, it is designed to carry the weight of the stone and is meant to be worn as pendant.

If/when the chord starts to become dry, simply apply a new coat of wax, you can use bees wax, a stick of bow string wax or other suitable wax. simple run it on the chord and work it in with your fingers.

If the stone starts to become clogged with metal swarf or particles, use 220 grit sand paper or rub it on another rock to clean the face of your pendant stone up.
